About LETTERTROVE

LETTERTROVE is a free collection of English word tools, solvers and finders — built to be fast on any device, readable, and respectful of your privacy. There are no accounts and no uploads: every tool runs entirely in your browser.

The word dataset: LETTERTROVE currently uses a filtered version of the dwyl/english-words words_alpha.txt list, derived from the Moby/Infochimps English word data, filtered to lowercase a–z words of 2–12 letters. We chose one consistent general-purpose dataset so every tool behaves the same way — and we never fabricate words to pad results. LETTERTROVE does not claim that every entry is common modern English or valid in any particular word game.

LETTERTROVE is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Scrabble, Wordle, Words With Friends or any other word game, and our word list makes no claim of official validity for any specific game.
