Duplicate Word Remover
Clean up repeated text fast. The Duplicate Word Remover deletes repeated words — or whole repeated lines — while keeping the first occurrence of each, with an optional case-sensitive mode.
How to use the Duplicate Word Remover
- Paste your text into the box.
- Choose word mode or line mode, and whether case matters.
- Press Remove duplicates, then copy the cleaned text.
Word mode preserves your original spacing and punctuation; only the repeated tokens are removed.
Word mode vs line mode
In word mode (the default), repeated words are removed while the first occurrence is kept and your original spacing and punctuation are preserved. Only whole whitespace-separated tokens are compared — so “lead” and “leader” are treated as different words.
In line mode, whole repeated lines are removed instead, again keeping the first occurrence. Blank lines are kept as they are.
Case sensitive (off by default) treats The and the as different. With it off, they count as the same word and the second is dropped.
- Original order is preserved — nothing is re-sorted.
